Studio Photography With Male Models
You may have seen my recent post with studio photos of women, and now it’s time for photos of men. Studio photography with male models was a lot of fun, and I got some great shots! I think sometimes as photographers we forget the power of male models, but we shouldn’t. 🙂
Classic Male Models
This gentleman was part of a formally-dressed couple, and he rocked it. We had huge umbrella lights to light him from multiple angles and create interesting shadows, which produced this effect.

In stark contrast to the above picture but with another awesome model, we have a classic alleyway pose.

The next two are from the fall station, and keep your eyes out for some more pictures of them in one of my next posts! These pictures were taken with a large flash positioned at about a 45 degree angle in front of the models.

Themed Portraits

The lighting for the above portrait was fun. We had 4 long LED lights, 2 set to pink and 2 set to blue. They lit him from 4 different angles. This was shot in a dark room, which allowed for the black background.
And now for the grand finale…

This was taken outside against the beginning of a sunset. I used a basic Speedlight flash to light up the subject, Spiderman, while keeping the sky at a good level of exposure. Be looking for another photo from Spiderman in a future post as well!
